Our story

A company built from the floor up.

A G&M facilitator leading a boardroom session

G&M started with a simple observation: a lot of corporate training is great theatre and poor engineering. People sit through three days of slides, leave with a printed certificate, and nothing about their work changes the following Monday. We wanted to do the opposite.

So we built the company differently. Our instructors aren't full-time trainers — they're working engineers, plant managers, traders, and operations leaders who teach part of the year. Our programs are designed in conversation with the clients buying them, not pulled from a shelf. And we sit on the floor before we sit in the classroom.

Today we deliver across six cities spanning South Africa, East Africa, the Gulf, Türkiye, and South-East Asia. Our clients run mines, refineries, plants, utilities, and treasuries — operations where downtime is measured in millions and competence isn't optional. Through our partnership with Big Wave Automatic Systems, a certified Schneider Electric alliance partner and registered Wonderware system integrator, we cover the full industrial automation stack from PLC fundamentals up to enterprise SCADA.

We're QCTO accredited. Our certificates are recognised. But what matters more is what happens at the ninety-day check-in, when we ask the line manager whether the people we trained are doing the work differently. That's the only review that counts.

What we believe

Three things we hold to.

i.

Training is engineering, not theatre

Every program has a measurable outcome. If we can't tell you what a graduate will be able to do that they couldn't before, the program isn't ready to run.

ii.

The floor knows more than the slide deck

We design with the people who'll be trained, not just the ones signing the cheque. Operators, supervisors, and line managers shape every curriculum we deliver.

iii.

Uplift the worker, grow the business

Workforce development is a people-first endeavour. Skilled people make safer plants, better margins, and stronger companies — in that order, never the other way around.
